My Socks Are on Fire!

It's time for another good idea, bad idea.

Good idea: eating a McRib sandwich

Bad idea: eating a McRib sandwich while watching the opening scenes of "Saving Private Ryan."

Good idea: having fun with a zippo lighter

Bad idea: Setting your desk on fire and putting the pictures on the internet.
(yeah, I'm talking to you Mark)

The McRib is back, and this time it's supposedly the farewell tour. Yeah. Right. The big M will always bring it back because they know it's the only way I'll even go there. When buying the sandwich my credit card wasn't working so I offered her my TechExpress instead, an d their TechExpress isn't working either, so luckily I had cash from donating plasma yesterday.

Speaking of which Joh(?)n and I went to the plasma center yesterday for free money. It was Joh(?)n's first time and he's really afraid of needles and he thinks he can get over it by having people pay him to be stuck instead of the other way around. The first time through it takes about three hours because there's lots of paperwork to be done before they hook you up to the machine. I was finishing up my time on the machine when Joh(?)n was getting attached. After having the needle taken out and being patched up. I got up and walked to the payment counter for my money. There were two people in front of me and one was just finishing up as I got to the counter. At this time, my head is feeling a bit funny and and my vision is getting foggy. I grab hold of the counter and the next thing I know I'm on the floor. Thankfully, someone noticed my passing out and I was lowered to the floor instead of hitting it full force with my body. The resident doctor had put a couch cushion and ice pack under my head and after laying on the ground for a few minutes managed to successfully sit on one of the nearby couches. Apparently I was out for about 20 minutes because it was about 3:15 when I finished the donation and when I woke up it was almost 3:40, but it only felt like a couple seconds.

I bought a lot of stuff today. Something for Kels, that will remain unnamed until this Christmas, and she just sent me a list of other stuff she wants because I mentioned the need to buy her stuff yesterday. I also went out and bought that McRib and Relient K's new Apathetic EP.

So, Relient K had a new EP come out and it's pretty good. Closer in style to mmhmm than Two Lefts... but it has some good acoustic covers as well.

You will laugh at me
like I'm not happy
with anything, any time, anywhere
and the half of me's all about apathy
and the other half just doesn't care

P.s. this didn't get posted until today, but I actually wrote it last night and got distracted by halo.

This is just one man's blog. You will read about my life and what happens therein. Will it change your life? No. Should you read it? Probably not.

I guess this is a good a time as any to welcome any intrepid readers that have stumbled here from facebook. It should be noted that there is some heavy stuff that gets posted here. I should also note that this blog is about me and my outlook. This is one of the few places where I am 100 percent honest. That's not to say that my feelings don't change. What I wrote here three years ago is very different than what I felt three weeks ago, and that is decidedly different that what I felt three days ago. So intrepid readers, I invite you to comb through the archives, but be warned, if we know each other you might be mentioned, I might have used a pseudonym I might not have. Any thing on here is something that I deem worthy to posted on the netterwebs. That means it's important to me. If something I post here bothers you that's OK. But rarely (read:never) will I edit previous posts. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. I may not be proud of what I put out here but I mean it. If you want to talk about it go ahead, I have comment links for all of the posts, or you can just ask me about in the real world. If it's here it's fair game for discussion.
